Frequently Asked Questions
We can compost "browns" and "greens". This includes veggies, fruit peels, egg shells (washed out), coffee filters and used coffee grounds. You can also add non-waxy paper or cardboard from around your house. This includes junk mail (minus plastic windows and stamps), paper towel rolls, cardboard egg cartons, etc. If you ever have a question on what to put in your bucket, let us know and we can help you out :)

You can place your Counter to Curb bucket in your pantry or under your kitchen sink! You do not need to place your bucket in the fridge or freezer. On pickup day, please place your bucket on your curb where you would normally place your trash bin!
Some people have started a routine to cut watermelon, pull weeds, etc right before pick up day. This might also be a good day to clean out the fridge!
Do you have a big party coming up and know you need more buckets? Email us and we will work with you on getting you an extra bucket for one pickup cycle if we have extras. This is on a first come first serve basis.

Yes! Our main goal is refuel our community's soil with our compost! We plan to give all members who have been with us for at least 3 months compost in the spring for their home gardens and landscaping.
You will receive an email in the spring time if you'd like to participate in receiving compost or donate to a local farm or garden. Please tune in this spring to our website and our social media platforms for more information! We will be spending the winter months looking for local farmers and gardening communities to donate compost to.
